Duplex stainless steel casting is a casting process in which duplex stainless steel is used as raw material. It is a stainless steel casting made from a 50% to 50% mix of austenite and ferrite. Therefore, it is also called austenitic-ferritic stainless steel castings. This grade of casting has high strength and good corrosion resistance. Especially for applications in seawater environments. At the same time, these alloys also have good toughness at lower temperatures. Higher strength provides erosion resistance.
