A tool that has become central and essential in our design processes as its functionalities specifically meet our needs. Figma had a year full of email list new features and many of them were unveiled during an online event called #config21. Among the most important things to remember: Figma is almost definitely abandoning the free model . To be more exact, Figma is still email list FigmaTeams Screen Figma Draft For individual designers, the limit of 3 files, each of which has a 3-page limit, may be sufficient. However, for small businesses or designers who work in collaboration, this can be a drastic change, as these limits are very low, a switch to a paid plan will be almost mandatory. What's new for designers in 2021? Following the Figma conference, several key features were announced to help designers work faster and more efficiently. It is a space where everyone can contribute ideas with a system of rating, adding images and voting for these ideas .
Branching in beta Incredible ! It's actually a GitHub for design where designers can play around with different designs and ideas ( Branches ), which they can evaluate ( Review ) and then combine into one mainline ( Merge ). At Kaliop, we had already tested an Abstract tool for Sketch which also allows you to manage branches. You can merge (merge) your branch with the "Master" (the default, original branch), to overwrite and replace the files email list with its updated versions. Today, Figma therefore offers this same principle of branches. In other words, you will now be able to branch from any file to safely explore new ideas . And, when ready, editors can merge the updates into the main file. Ideal in the design of a design system ! According to Figma : “Branches are controlled, sandbox-like environments where you can make changes to styles, components, and other aspects of a file or library.
When you're happy with your changes, you can revisit and merge your branch with the main file. You will have the opportunity to resolve any conflicts before applying your branch changes to the main file.” It's a feature of the Organization plan and it's available in beta. FigJam This new tool is a kind of digital whiteboard for collaborative work , the idea being to be able to organize brainstorming sessions , workshops and all kinds of creative email list activities. As last year was marked by near-generalized telecommuting , designers needed to have a collaborative and efficient space for the first stage of the design process. This feature is a great answer to this email list need! But FigJam is not just a space for designers, it also allows non-designers to participate in brainstorming . Screen FigJam FigJam allows among other things: instant discussion via chat ; to email list draw easily; to insert icons, stickers, and even components of an already created design system ; the creation of diagrams, user's flows, shapes, pre-built lines and connectors. In multiplayer mode , the platform allows up to 50 participants .
